Celestial Bodies

from A Nocturnal Psyche by Obsolete Sun

lyrics

[The glaring sun kissing golden hair.
Glowing skin with lips of glass,
soaked in salty shame.
You are naked, exposed, and at the same time,
dressed in a deep shade of depression.
Catching glimpse of understanding,
under the cover of trees]

I contrived a sentiment to associate with you.
Sculpted inside a visceral mind.
An empty, trivial converse.

These terms, they're rooted in red.
Broken. I am a desperate dream.

[Feel regretfulness,
reflecting in her retinas like starts in the sky.
Vision of flowers in fields of her youthful nutrition.
Goodbyes are poorly worded apologies to life's possibility]

I longed to contort along with your pliant charm.
[but] I've lost the desire and you're beginning to start.
Will these emotions ever run dry?
Even if it's showing signs of wearing down,
the mind builds them up again.
I've thought of this part so many times.

[Without daring to dance with the consequentialism,
these memories are branded into your skin like the fear of being alive
Your arms thrust forward like the last chance for air.
Time stops. Only for a moment.
And in it, you feel love, like heat from a pile of ashes]

Celestial bodies.
We're so distant from each other.
